Our Redeemer Preschool

Iowa City’s Christian Preschool

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
preschool Proverbs 22:6

Welcome to Our Redeemer Preschool, in Iowa City, IA, where we strive to demonstrate God’s love and concern for young children by offering a warm, responsive, predictable and friendly learning environment.

Our program follows the “One in Christ” curriculum from Concordia Publishing House. This includes short Bible stories, Christian songs, and short prayers along with varied activities in language arts, music, math, science, social studies, physical development and creative arts.

In preschool we get to think of our friends first and learn how to play with each other. We get to respect our preschool centers; in so doing,

we learn how to make choices, develop social skills, and learn to be independent as well as responsible. God created us, so we get to be creative in living out His word.

Early childhood programs should serve families and not the children alone. Family involvement activities include serving on the Preschool Committee, keeping in touch with the teacher, joining children on field trips, and attending preschool activities. The weekly preschool newsletter provides enrichment activities for the family to use at home.

Our hope is that your child will have a happy and enjoyable experience of loving, caring, sharing, and learning with us. If at any time you

have questions, concerns, or suggestions about any part of our Preschool program, please speak with us. We care about our children and our parents, and we want to try and meet the needs of everyone.
