Youth Mission Statement
Through God, as youth of Our Redeemer, we will build a faith community that identifies our God-given talents, which trains and equips us to live and share what we believe and to serve the congregation and community.
Our youth ministry is for students in grades 6 -12. We offer weekly Sunday School and Midweek classes as well as summer activities. Plan to stay involved in studies and in various service projects throughout the year as well as helping with our Peach Fundraiser.
For more information please contact the Youth Coordinator, Kara Hartwig.
Confirmation Youth
Confirmation can be thought of as both the day, Confirmation Day, and the three-year class in preparation for the day. The day is a mature and public profession of the faith which “marks the completion of the congregation’s program of confirmation ministry”.
6th – 8th grade youth meet during Midweek on Wednesdays throughout the school year. These classes prepare students for their confirmation, held Palm Sunday of the student’s eighth grade year.
In the summer, we offer several Wednesday evening activities for confirmation youth.
For more information about confirmation classes, please contact Pastor Hartwig.

High School Youth
9th – 12th grade youth explore topics that affect our understanding of the Bible or how we live out the Christian faith.
On Wednesdays through the school year, high school youth meets during Midweek. We focus on Christ-centered Bible Studies, engaging service projects and interactive fellowship activities. As we study God’s Word for our lives more in depth, we will discover and explore God’s amazing plan. Class is from 6:45 – 8:00 p.m.
In the summer, we offer weekly Wednesday evening activities for high school youth.
On top of our studies, we also travel more with the LYF, doing offsite retreats, week long servant events, and National Youth Gatherings.
Fundraising
Every summer, the Youth of Our Redeemer host the annual Colorado Peach Sale. This event serves as the only fundraiser that we do for the whole year to support Youth Ministry. So, we encourage all youth and families to serve in one of several ways; pray for Youth Ministry at Our Redeemer, sell peaches to neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc, and/or plan to be here for delivery day to distribute peaches.
For more information please contact the Youth Coordinator, Kara Hartwig.
Key Verse
“…and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
